Get "Unstuck":  How to Get (And Keep) Your Creativity Flowing

Instructor: Noah Scalin

We all know on-the-spot creative thinking is necessary to succeed at work and in life, but it's getting increasingly difficult to access your inner mojo. Not to mention, the more seniority you achieve, the further you get from "the work".

In "Get Unstuck," led by designer and author Noah Scalin, you'll learn how (with a little self-imposed discipline) to become more prolific with your ideas and projects. Noah is best known for his award-winning Skull-A-Day Project, where he produced a work of art every day for a year. He then went on to author 365: A Daily Creativity Journal, which gives inspiration and structure around making a yearlong daily project, and the upcoming Unstuck, which provides 52 ways to keep your creativity flowing with projects that range from multi-hour to merely 30 seconds of commitment.

In this two hour session, Noah will lead a hands-on exercise that will stoke your internal creative juices flowing and teach you:

  • How to discover new opportunities for creativity all around you.
  • How to get beyond your internal roadblocks to creativity.
  • How to get unstuck anytime and anywhere.

This class will get your creative engine running so smoothly that you'll be an idea machine in no time.

Your Instructor: Noah Scalin is a Richmond, Virginia-based artist and designer. He is the creator of the Webby Award-winning art project Skull-A-Day, which was the basis of his first book, Skulls. Noah's art has been exhibited in museums and galleries internationally and including the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia, the Museum of Death in Los Angeles, and the International Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago. A lifelong activist, Noah runs the socially conscious design and consulting firm Another Limited Rebellion, which he founded in 2001. Noah is also an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he teaches a course he created on socially conscious graphic design. His new book is 365: A Daily Creativity Journal, from Voyageur Press. Follow @NoahScalin. If you'd like to book Noah for a one-on-one coaching session, visit the Hired Guns Academy coaching page.
